About the Event

Advocates in Action is the Children’s Law Center of California’s signature fundraising event - a powerful evening that brings together community leaders, advocates, and changemakers in support of children and youth in the foster care system. Guests enjoy an inspiring program filled with inspiring stories, delicious food and drinks, an exciting live auction, and the opportunity to celebrate CLC’s incredible honorees who are transforming lives across California.

Funds raised at the event sustain CLC’s vital work representing tens of thousands of children and youth in foster care each year. As the largest children’s legal services organization in the nation, CLC provides holistic, multidisciplinary advocacy that goes beyond the courtroom—pairing attorneys with social workers, peer advocates, and prevention specialists to ensure every child has a voice, a plan, and a path forward.

Together, we are building a future where all children in foster care are seen, heard, and supported—and every young person has the opportunity to thrive.

Honorees 

CLC is proud to honor Assemblywoman Blanca Rubio as our Champion Honoree for her unwavering commitment to improving the lives of children and families across California. A former teacher and school board member, she has authored and championed critical legislation to expand educational opportunities, strengthen protections for youth in foster care, and ensure greater stability and support for families. Her tireless advocacy and compassionate leadership make her a true Champion for Children.
