About Our Organization

Children’s Law Center of California (CLC) provides high-quality legal representation to children and youth who have experienced abuse, neglect, or abandonment and are under the jurisdiction of the dependency court. As the largest children’s legal services organization in the nation, CLC advocates for nearly 19,000 children and youth in foster care each year across Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Placer counties.

Our dedicated, passionate staff work tirelessly to ensure the well-being and long-term success of every client through legal representation, multidisciplinary advocacy, and public policy reform. We believe every child deserves to be treated with dignity, have a voice in the courtroom, and experience the love and stability of permanent relationships.
