About Us

In 1981, First Christian Church of Huntington Beach (FCC) stepped out in faith to start Huntington Christian School (HCS). Driven by a commitment to lead students in experiencing God’s grace and purpose in their lives, the small school quickly grew, relocating from the church campus to its current 8-acre campus in 2002. Today, HCS serves over 600 students in kindergarten through 8th grade, offering exceptional academics, enriching extracurriculars, and a focus on Christ-centered character development. Guided by the core principle to “Love like Jesus and learn well,” HCS fosters an environment where students flourish academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

A cornerstone of HCS’s success is the Parent-Teacher Fellowship (PTF), an organization intentionally named to reflect the school’s emphasis on community and partnership. Unlike traditional parent organizations, the PTF embodies the spirit of fellowship, uniting families, staff, and students in service and shared purpose. Through the PTF, parents strengthen relationships, support school programs and foster a Christ-centered community that extends beyond the classroom.

Through the cooperative work of the PTF and HCS, lasting connections among families are created and a legacy of faith and fellowship shape the school community. This enduring partnership ensures HCS remains a place where students, families, and staff experience God’s grace and purpose for generations to come.
