About Our Organization

Since 2014, the Monterey Firefighters Association has served as the official collective bargaining and labor representative for the dedicated members of the Monterey Fire Department, tirelessly organizing fundraisers and community events. Acknowledging the increasing significance of our non-profit efforts, we proudly established the Monterey Firefighters Community Foundation—a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization—in late 2020.

 

Our foundation consists of 78 members, including Captains, Engineers, and Firefighters from the Monterey Fire Department, embodying a spirit of compassion and service. Our mission goes beyond traditional responsibilities as we aim to educate, engage, and empower the community on fire prevention and safety.

 

Through meaningful initiatives such as fundraising, organizing community events, distributing emergency relief funds, and offering accurate and current fire information and resources, we have become an integral part of our cherished community. This organization is a collective of passionate individuals dedicated to the welfare of our neighbors.

 

As we continue to nurture the community we love, we hope to see our outreach programs flourish. The support from this remarkable event is vital in helping us achieve these objectives, allowing us to strengthen the connections that unite us all.
