About Our Organization

His Hands On Africa (HHOA) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that was created to address the severe lack of dental professionals in Rwanda. With a population of 14 million people and growing, there is approximately 1 dentist for every 108,000 people. Morbidity cases tied to oral diseases, many of which are easily preventable, are as high as 15%.

To bridge this gap, HHOA has created a four-pronged approach to a sustainable and long-term solution:

  1. Establish the HOPE Dental Center: a state-of-the-art dental clinic and training center, which will generate funding to build a sustainable dental care system
  2. Educate Rwandan dentists at our training center through advanced clinical training and 1 on 1 mentorship
  3. Enhance existing dental clinics in district hospitals located throughout Rwanda through delivery of new dental equipment and clinical training
  4. Extend free dental care to remote rural areas through mobile dental clinics  and community outreach programs

At the core, our vision is to raise up Rwandan dentists and empower them to be leaders in their communities and help break the cycle of poverty and pain. We are encouraged by the support of our local networks, which further enable us to bring healing, hope and love to the people of Rwanda. As the old African proverb goes:

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.

If you have questions, email us at info@hishandsonafrica.org

We hope for the opportunity to work together.
