About Our Organization

“Here in Southern California, we work to build and hold hope for the children that we serve knowing that despite their current circumstances, there is space for them to heal and thrive. Thank you for joining us in our work.”

Melissa Padayachee, LMFT

Orange County Regional Executive Director

The mission of Seneca Family of Agencies is to help children and families through the most difficult times in their lives. Founded in 1985, Seneca has grown from a day treatment and residential program to a provider of a robust continuum of community-based and family-focused services for the most vulnerable and under-served children, youth, and families.

Each year, Seneca’s range of mental health, education, juvenile justice, and foster care services reach 1,500 children, youth, and their families in their schools, homes, and communities across Southern California. All programs are guided by a commitment to Seneca’s Unconditional Care model - doing whatever it takes to help children and families thrive, even when faced with tremendous challenges.
