THE EVENT
This year, the Be Perfect Foundation invites you to go all in for a night of glamour, giving, and high-energy entertainment at our 11th Annual Scholarship Gala, Playing the Cards You’re Dealt. The evening will combine the elegance of a formal gala with the excitement of a Las Vegas-style casino night — all for an incredible cause.
Guests will enjoy the thrill of classic casino games like craps, roulette, and blackjack. Upon arrival, you’ll have the opportunity to exchange real money for casino chips, which you can use to play throughout the night. Win big, and you’ll have the chance to “cash out” your chips by contributing to general donations or entering them into our exclusive raffle drawings for exciting prizes.
Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the tables, our professionally staffed casino floor will be buzzing with fun and friendly competition — all in support of individuals living with paralysis. Every spin of the wheel, flip of the card, and roll of the dice will help fund the Be Perfect Foundation’s mission to provide direct financial and emotional aid for those in need.
The evening will also feature a cocktail hour, gourmet dinner, silent and live auctions, inspiring client stories, and unforgettable entertainment. It’s your chance to dress to impress, try your luck, and make a lasting impact on the lives of others.

THE NEED
The Be Perfect Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) with a mission to provide direct financial and emotional aid to individuals living with paralysis. Hal Hargrave Jr. created the Be Perfect Foundation in 2007, just a few months after he suffered a life-altering automobile accident that left him paralyzed from the neck down. After recognizing the limitations insurance companies were putting on some of his friends dealing with paralysis, Hal resolved to do his part to help them recover. Since 2007, the Be Perfect Foundation has provided programs and services for those who are affected by paralysis within the LA County, Orange County, and Inland Empire region. To date, BP has raised nearly $10 million for individuals living with paralysis. BP has changed the lives of hundreds of fathers, mothers, siblings, and friends with paralysis by keeping more than 400 in recovery, purchasing medical necessities, including more than 100 wheelchairs and other medical equipment and supplies, and providing guidance and emotional support. Be Perfect is a firm believer in exercise and activity as a way to prevent secondary complications after sustaining paralysis. Put quite simply, BP believes that exercise is medicine. The program services that BP provides support those with their recovery efforts, in pursuit of keeping those individuals physically fit until the day comes when a cure becomes a reality. With nearly 1.5 million people living in the U.S. with paralysis, there is a continued reason year in and year out for BP to continue to try and raise funds for those who need OUR help with their recovery efforts and in their pursuit to try and regain independence again.
OUR GUESTS
We anticipate up to 1,200 guests, including our friends who are suffering from ailments, business and community leaders, civic officials, volunteers, and staff of the Be Perfect Foundation.

PROMOTION
Promotional activities for this event will include press releases, website, internet, and media advisories on social media, as well as flyers that are displayed at local businesses in the foothill communities of greater Los Angeles.
