What is TUMO?

TUMO logo

TUMO is a free learning program that puts teens in charge of their own education. Through a distinctive blend of self-learning, hands-on workshops, and expert-led labs, students build real-world skills across 14 learning targets, from programming and robotics to music, filmmaking, graphic design, animation, and generative AI.

TUMO learning targets

In Armenia, TUMO is building a national model for access at scale. Today, more than 25,000 teens learn through TUMO each week. To date, more than 110,000 young people have been impacted. The goal now is to reach 60,000 teens weekly across the country, ensuring that every teenager in Armenia can access world-class technology and design education close to home.

The TUMO Armenia Campaign

The TUMO Armenia Campaign is the organization’s most ambitious effort yet: a national expansion designed to bring high-quality technology and design education within reach of every teen in Armenia.

  • Our goal is to build the infrastructure needed to serve 60,000 teens each week.
  • The campaign includes 14 TUMO Hubs in major cities and 79 TUMO Boxes that extend access into regional and rural communities.
  • At the heart of this work is a simple belief: talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not.
