St. Anne's - A Rich History & Evolution
An organization driven by a tireless mission of working together to build safe, nurturing and resilient families – from pregnancy to parenthood and childhood to adulthood – for generations to come. Sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart, a Catholic ministry, and guided by their spiritual beliefs and values of service and compassion, we achieve this mission by providing high-quality housing, early childhood education, mental health and supportive services. Initially founded in 1908 as a home for pregnant young women with nowhere else to turn, St. Anne's has grown into a premiere social service agency - rising to the challenge of meeting the ever-changing needs of Los Angeles' most vulnerable populations by offering an array of comprehensive services that promote the safety, resilience and ongoing achievement of the children and families we serve.
St. Anne’s influence stretches far past its Main Campus, and now includes Early Childhood Education Centers throughout the Rampart/Westlake & Koreatown districts as well as Wraparound Approach Services in the South Los Angeles Crenshaw District. In 2018, St. Anne’s opened Beverly Terrace, a permanent supportive housing complex with the S. Mark Taper Foundation Early Learning Center on-site helping homeless and chronically homeless families build new, stable lives.
Our Main Campus also houses a Conference Center available for rental, event service and production filmings, featuring an onsite Event Concierge.
